CATTLE DONATED TO SRIVARI GOSAMRAKSHANA TRUST
Speaking on this
occasion, Sri Raju said following the clarion call given by TTD authorities to
donate liberally for SV Gosamrakshana Trust as a mission to protect and
preserve desi breeds, the donor has come with largesse and donated four cattle
including two Ongole breed and a Kapila cow and calf worth around 20lakhs to
Srivari temple. Thanking the donors he asked the philanthopists to join hands
with TTD through cattle donations in this noble and sacred mission. "Cow
is revered as "Gomatha" in Hindu religion and it becomes very
responsibility of Hindus to protect the Cow", he added. He said there
are over 1200 various species of cattle in SV Goshala.
Later donor, Sri Mohan
Kumar said, that they have donated the cattle matching the occasion of 57th
Birth Day celebrations of his father Dr KN Rao. "There are only a
handful of Kapila breeds which are considered to be the best variety among the
cattle left in our state. We had 10 of them out of which we have donated one to
Annavaram Satyanarayana Swamy temple, another to Vellore Golden Temple and
today we have donated to Lord Sri Venkateswara. The uniqueness is that both the
cow and calf are Kapila(pure black in colour) genre only. In future we are
ready to donate more number of Ongole breeds so that they will serve
the purpose of various rituals being carried out in Tirumala temple", he
added.
Goshala
Director Dr Harinath Reddy, Temple Deputy EO Sri Munirathnam Reddy,
Parupattedar Sri Ajay, donors Sri Vidya Sagar, Sri Srinu and others were also
