TTD- Conduct of SARASWATHI YAGAM in Tirupati on March 9



 




HUNDREDS OF STUDENTS CONVERGE FOR "SARASWATHI YAGAM"
TIRUMALA, MARCH 9:  Hundreds of students took part in the Maha Saraswathi Yagam performed by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams in Tirupati on Friday.
 
This Yagam would help to improve concentration, stabilise the thought process, infuse rationality in thinking and achieve mental maturity which is very essential especially for the students towards their fruitful career ahead.
 
From the past few years TTD's Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP) wing has been organsing this Maha Saraswathi Yagam during the examination period to appease Goddess of Wisdom - Saraswathi Devi to shower her blessings on the students.
 
Under the supervision of TTD Agama Advisor Dr Vedantam Vishnubhattacharyulu, the Yagam took place between 9am to 1pm in Ramachandra in Tirupati as per the norms of Vaikhanasa Agama tradition. The vedic pundits performed homam by setting up six Agni Gundams and recited "Saraswathi Maha Mantra" which will help the students to build mental determination and courage to pass the exams. Later "Vidya Kankanams"-sacred threads were distributed to the students.
 
TTD EO Sri LV Subramanyam, JEO Sri P Venkatrami Reddy, DPP Deputy EO Sri Umapathi Reddy, OSD Sri Raghunath, scholar Sri Chenchu Subbaiah and others also took part in the ceremonious fete. They all wished the students whole-heartedly "All the Best" for their exams.
 
Earlier during the day around 8.30am, the processional deities of Lord Sri Rama flanked by Goddess Sita Devi and Lord Lakshmana Swamy were brought to the mandap where the ritual took place
.

CATTLE DONATED TO SRIVARI GOSAMRAKSHANA TRUST


Former ZP chairperson of Krishna District Dr KN Rao and his family members donated two Ongole breed and a Kapila Cow and calf to SV Gosamrakhsana Trust in Tirumala on Monday in front of Srivari Temple in the presence of TTDs JEO Tirumala Sri KS Srinivasa Raju.
 
Speaking on this occasion, Sri Raju said following the clarion call given by TTD authorities to donate liberally for SV Gosamrakshana Trust as a mission to protect and preserve desi breeds, the donor has come with largesse and donated four cattle including two Ongole breed and a Kapila cow and calf worth around 20lakhs to Srivari temple. Thanking the donors he asked the philanthopists to join hands with TTD through cattle donations in this noble and sacred mission. "Cow is revered as "Gomatha" in Hindu religion and it becomes very responsibility of Hindus to protect the Cow", he added. He said there are over 1200 various species of cattle in SV Goshala.
 
Later donor, Sri Mohan Kumar said, that they have donated the cattle matching the occasion of 57th Birth Day celebrations of his father Dr KN Rao. "There are only a handful of Kapila breeds which are considered to be the best variety among the cattle left in our state. We had 10 of them out of which we have donated one to Annavaram Satyanarayana Swamy temple, another to Vellore Golden Temple and today we have donated to Lord Sri Venkateswara. The uniqueness is that both the cow and calf are Kapila(pure black in colour) genre only. In future we are ready to donate more number of Ongole breeds so that they will serve the purpose of various rituals being carried out in Tirumala temple", he added.
 
Goshala Director Dr Harinath Reddy, Temple Deputy EO Sri Munirathnam Reddy, Parupattedar Sri Ajay, donors Sri Vidya Sagar, Sri Srinu and others were also present.

TTD- Inauguration of Sri Ramayana Kalpavriksha Swarnotsavalu at Mahati Auditorium on March 06.







The pontiff of Kurtalam peetham, H.H.Sri Sri Sri Siddheshwarananda Bharathi Teertha Swamy has released  book titled “The golden Jubilee Celebrations of Sri Ramayana Kalpavriksham” written by Sri Vishwanath Satyanarayana at Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati on Tuesday.
 
TTD Chairman Sri Kanumuri Bapi Raju, TTD EO Sri L.V.Subramanyam, JEO Sri P. Venkatarami Reddy, Annamacharya Project Director Dr. Medasani Mohan, DEO Sri Vidyanarayana Swamy and others were present.
             
Annamacharya Project, Purana Etihasa Project jointly conducted this programme.And also National seminar planned in Annamacharya kalamandiram from Mar 06 to Mar 09.

TTD- IIIrd Day of Sri Vari Float Festival at Tirumala on March 6





As part of ongoing five day Annual Float Festival, the third day is dedicated to the idols of Lord Malayappaswamy and His consorts. The idols were taken out in procession from Sri Vari Temple to Sri Vari Pushkarni situated near the Temple on Tuesday evening.

TIRUMALA, MARCH 6:  India is an embodiment of rich culture and heritage which has shown the world the essence of its great religious legacy said Tamil Nadu Governor Honourable Sri K Rosaiah.

Speaking on the occasion of Sahasra Chandra Darshana Shanti Mahotsavam of Pejavar mutt seer Sri Vishvesha Teertha Swamy and Sudhamangalotsavam in Kalyana Vedica at Tirumala on Tuesday he said, Saint Acharya Purushas like Adi Shankara, Ramanuja, Madhwacharya taught the spirit of Bhakti Tatva among the people. “They pioneered the concept of Hindu Dharma with their immortal teachings and taught the world the quintessence of Bhakti. Today this legacy has been continued by the Pejavar Seer’, he added.

Earlier TTD EO Sri LV Subramanyam said, the last step in the journey of a human being is unifying with the Almighty. This could be possible only if you learn Bhakti Tatva in the presence of spiritual Gurus”, he added.

In his spiritual remarks, the Pejawar Seer said, the prosperity of India lies in its concept of “Unity in Diversity” and this spirit has made the country the spiritual capital of the world.

In his presidential address Karnataka Legislative Council Speaker Sri TH Shankara Murthy said the history of Hindu Santana Dharma way backs to five thousand years and is the oldest, existing religion in the entire world.

TTD- HE Governor of Tamil Nadu Dr. K.Rosaiah visit to Sri Vari Temple, Tirumala on March 6






His Excellency Governor of Tamil Nadu Dr. K. Rosaiah , who arrived here on his visit Tirumala,  offered prayers to the lord Venkateswara during laghu darshan on Tuesday morning. On his arrival in front of Sri Vari Temple the priests and officials have welcomed the Governor of Tamil Nadu. After dharshan of lord, Sri K.Bapi Raju, Chairman TTDs, Sri K.Srinivasa Raju, Joint Executive Officer, TTDs has presented Sri Vari Prasadam, the veda pandits of the temple have blessed him with Vedic Hymns at Ranganayakula Mandapam.
Sri M.K.Singh, C.V& S.O, Sri Munirathnam Reddy, DyEO(Temple), Temple Peishkars Sri Ramurthy Reddy, Sri Chandrasekhar Pillai and TTD Officials were present.

SRI KODANDARAMA SWAMY TEMPLE BRAHMOTSAVAMS TO BE CONDUCTED FROM MARCH 21 TO 29
 The annual brahmotsavams of Lord Kodanda Rama Swamy will be conducted in a grand manner, said TTD JEO Sri P.Venkatrami Reddy.
Reviewing with the officials in the premises of Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple in Tirupati on Monday the JEO said TTD has witnessed unprecedented turnout of pilgrim devotees during Srivari Brahmotsavams, Ammavari Brahmotsavams and the very recent Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram.
"In the similar way, we should organise the Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple brahmtosavams also without any compromise. Give wide publicity in all the surrounding villages, hamlets with the help of local bhajan mandalis, village panchyat heads, revenue and panchayat officials", he directed the officials.
He said publicity posters, pamphlets and small books explaining the importance of Sthala Purana of the temple to be distributed in the villages. "This should help in increasing the turnout of pilgrims for the mega religious event by many folds.
We will also arrange Harati points for each department during the procession of various vahanams as a part of the brahmtosavams", he added.
Later speaking to media persons the JEO said, TTD is planning to organise the Sri Kodandarama Swamy brahmotsavams in a big way never like before after seeing the overwhelming response to the recent religous event. "We are also arranging special buses for the sake of the locals and visiting pilgrims. The floral, electrical arrangements will be made in a grand manner to give a festive look to the entire temple town. We appeal to the media to give wide publicity so that more number of pilgrims take part in the celestial event and get the blessings of Lord Kodanda Rama Swamy", he added.
